15 Minutes Limit For Editing Post
07-19-2009, 12:21 AM
Post: #1
Hello all,

From now on, you can only edit a post you have submitted within a 15 minutes time frame. Your post will be permanent after 15 minutes from the time of submitting, and you can no longer edit it.

This is to ensure that there is enough time to edit a post, in case of a spelling error, grammar error and other post formatting error—and at the same time prevent anyone to edit a post he made gazillion years ago for whatever reason it may be (to hide from others what he once said, or to inject advertisements to all his older posts etc).

If you would like to rectify a statement you have made but the allocated editing time has expired, you could simply add a new post to correct the original post, e.g "I would like to clarify that I made a mistake in the above statement, it should be ..."

Have a good day Smile
