MIAT not the best. :><.:
Their graduates have not been getting the DCA license lately. Most of their time is academically focused to get the diploma.. hence the failure.

Hi..messol,

GOOD Cool - you still have time to decide which will be the best ATO to join ! Kalau dah join...nasi sudah jadi 'MOI SUP' maaa... Sad

Rule Numero 'UNO' - the aviation maintenance industry requires you to have a valid BASIC LICENCE from the National Aviation Authority (NAA)

a) Most of the IPTA/IPTS academic institutions will award you with DIPLOMA/DEGREE/MASTER/PHD in aviation laa..aerospace laa...and all the craps they can think of - so CRAPPY that you will be so 'amazed' with all the 'promises' they will give you.... :><.:

Rule Numero 'DOS' - CUT/DELETE/RECYCLE BIN/EMPTY RECYCLE BIN - those CRAPs !

Rule Numero 'TRES' - Join DCAM Approved Training Organisation (ATO) which are really focused on DCAM Part 66 licensing system

Rule Numero 'QUATTRO' - enjoy what you are learning/working with aircrafts and learn for the knowledge !!! Not just for passing exams...all the best and good luck

Cheers..9M Cool

MIAT was the first to be an ATO, well that was under AN85 under BCAR Section L.
We all know now that BCAR Section L has been replaced since January this year by DCAM Part 66 and the only ATO right now approved under this is MAS and DTS. MIAT, APR-ATC and MATA's MTOE are now under DCA's evaluation for Part 147 approval. So it's a matter of time.
Just ask yourself, you want a DIPLOMA or LICENSE? You don't need any crappy diploma/degree/masters/PHD to become an aircraft enginer like Ninermike was saying there..

But then again, it's your future. You decide want you wanna do with it. We can only give our opinion ans views. :^^:

Hello..Messol - MRO stands for Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul - it is an organisation approved by the aviation authorities to do maintenance tasks on aircraft.

Example of MRO organisation in Malaysia and South East Asia -

a) MAS Engineering & Maintenance
b) Airod
c) Eurocopter
d) Sepang Aircraft Engineering
e) Systematic Aviation Services (SAS)
f) SIAEC
g) SASCO

It will be the place where you are going to work with for the next 30 years and it will be your 'second home' when you start entering this industry - lot of hours spent to play around with your 1st WIFE (aircraft le..) :Big Grin:

2K a month?? Come on, that low aaa.....from whom you heard this laa?

Cheers...9M

Hope this clears the air.
MRO is a maintenance company.
To do OJT at their place, you have to pay! But I know a (very )few MRO that gave allowances to students instead.
Most of the airlines also charge but some do not..
