guys, is there anyone from APR here?

i'm from MIAT. and management here is taking ages to get the first exam module for DCAM Part 66 going, some of us submitted the application form to them since april last year and no news until now -,-'.

i'm thinking to enroll for the APR DCAM Part 66 Examination Preparatory Programs (Part Time).

what i would like to know is,
since i'm still a student in Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AVIONICS) and i don't have any experience in aviation field at all,

can i enroll to that course and will i qualified to take the exam module with DCA?

am i qualified to take the real module exam with DCA too?

if i'm qualified to take the preparatory course with APR in their DCAM Part 66 Examination Preparatory Programs (Part Time) but i d'm not qualified for the real module exam with DCA, it'll be a waste of time too. hurm..

this is the course i'm talking about http://www.aeroprecision.com.my/training/lwtr.htm

This is the bitter truth, if you can't afford APR or Dilog, then pursuing TAME with them is not for you. Period.

Hi Sifu Torx (and other sifus) !

Is it true if I can't afford APR or Dilog, then TAME isn't gonna cut it ? I'm actually thinking of applying there since lots of sifus here recommend Dilog and APR.

I actually got an offer from MIAT (Bachelor in Aircraft Eng Tech - Mechanical) and will register on 5th of January 2014 (in less than 2 weeks !) and right now I'm having second thoughts about it ! *Oh God*

The only reason I applied for MIAT is because I can easily qualified to apply for MARA loan and 'money' is a BIG concern for me. I have email APR regarding scholarships or study loans but no response whatsoever from them.

Please guide me ! I am really passionate about aircraft but apparently it needs a lot of kaching $$$ to dive in the aviation industry.

Help me guys !

Other than MIAT, only at APR you can get MARA study loan.
DTS(Dilog) did apply to MARA but I do not know if they got it. You have to find out from MARA or Dilog.

At this point of time I have not seen the Part-66 programme being incorporated in the Bachelor programme. My son was in the programme. He graduated without sitting a single Module hence NO Part-66 licence. Your fate will be the same.

Nonethelss, don't take my word for it. Find out from MIAT if you're doing your Bachelor programme TOGETHER with Part-66 licence.

IF you're still wanting to be an LAE, next best thing is APR.

Torx.
