Anyone here had any news on which banks offer the best education loans package for the cadet pilot programme?

Or any other financial assistance?

Discuss it here!

Bank Rakyat Education Loan

The loan is applicable up to RM200k, but..

You can loan without any refinancing any of your property but it is only valid up to RM100k. The approval will be based on your parent's salary or monthly income..

But for loan more than RM100k, you'll have to refinance a property.. maximum is RM200k for this education loan.

The education loan must be in your parents name if your are still unemployed. Which means that you are the guarantor for the loan.. unless if you are currently working, the loan will be in your name.

All this info is from a bank rakyat loan officer in Putrajaya.

P/S - Please do bear in mind that personal loan's interest is much higher than education loans in every banks.

For private loan, I think they don really bother what you want to do with the money..... that why the interest for private loan is much highe. The hardest thing is you have to mortgage your parents properties for the loan. Think carefully before you make any loan.

owh i thought you guys are talking about the bank rakyat's al-islah loan. i dont think bank rakyat's education loan is an option anymore. have to go for the personal loan but like u say must have a collateral. that is a big issue here
