DTS fees is an insult.

Thanks, I sent them a Facebook message and they replied soon after. They are offering B2 courses in both the April and July intake. Big Grin

I see no reason to consider DTS now, or should I?

I contacted DTS and they claim that unlike APR, they are the one and only approved examination center by DCAM in Malaysia.
Is this true and does it really matter?

Both APR and DTS are LWTR right?

where you get the info about APR? IT WAS TOTALLY WRONG! APR has already been accepted by DCA as the APPROVED EXAMINATION CENTRE! GIVE THEM A CALL!
and yes both ATOs produce license without type rating engineer( LWTR)

Well, it's just what the DTS customer service (email) told me.

After having contact both of them, this is what I have learnt.

APR- 4 years, RM138000, with one type rating(probably B737/A320/ATR 72), intakes in April and July.

DTS- 4 years, RM165000, LWTR.

Both have B2 license course.

You don't have to heavily emphasise by capitalizing and adding exclamation marks.
Like I said, it's what they told me, and that's exactly why I asked "Is it true?".

I got my answer now so thanks.

APR is cheaper with type rating and I want to do B2(at least to start with) and they have an intake a month after my results come out, plus Subang isn't that far. Therefore it's a clear choice for me.

I hope I can get in. Big Grin

DTS is a snob. APR has been doing LWTR training since 1997.
And to spill the beans, they're the one recommending to DCA that LAEs must take English proficiency test just like the pilots. Absurd is what they are... may be DCA too if they decided to.

Good to know that you have made your decisions.
APR should be a good place to get your LWTR. Yup, they are in position to offer type rated courses now.

Good luck and all the best.

flyhigh. you take it easy. Big Grin

there are times when "good not cheap and cheap not good". Could i ask other than interest is there any strategic reason you want to start with B2?

Don't get me wrong.
I'd be happy with B1.1 too.
I plan on doing it after B2.
Hell, if I could, eventually I'd do B1.3 as well.

But I've read and have been told that B2 is more marketable.
I can't guarantee that this will be the case once I hopefully graduate with my license but, it's what I've chosen to start with and commit to.
