ASSESSMENT
The CTC Aviation assessment team will screen your application and if you meet the initial criteria, we will invite you to take part in an assessment day. These are normally held at Royal Brunei's training facilities in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

Phase 2: Aptitude and Interpersonal Skills

During the morning of your assessment day, you will get the chance to learn more about the programme and ask any questions you may still have after your research. We will deliver a detailed presentation on CTC Aviation and Royal Brunei which will be delivered by a members of both the Royal Brunei and the CTC Aviation teams who will be able to answer your questions at this stage.

You will then take part in various exercises designed to assess your interpersonal skills through group discussion and your aptitude using the world's leading pilot assessment tool, PILAPT. We will also test your numerical ability, so it is well worth practicing some mental arithmetic examples before you come along.

Phase 3: CTC Aviation Interview

Those candidates who meet the standard through the morning assessment will be asked to stay for an interview during the afternoon.

This is a non-technical interview designed to ensure you have the right interpersonal skills and attitude to cope with the training. As well as seeking tomorrow's airline pilots, we are always also looking for tomorrow's captains, so we will consider your leadership potential as well as skills such as communication, teamwork, decision making and problem solving abiility and business and customer awareness; all the competencies that - combined together correctly - make a quality airline pilot. The interview focuses on you, so be prepared to tell us about your experiences that demonstrate you have those skills. We will expect you to have an understanding of the role of an airline pilot and Royal Brunei's business, so research and prior preparation are key.

Phase 4: Royal Brunei Interview

If you meet the CTC standards for RB Wings, you will be invited for a final interview (Phase 4) with Royal Brunei at a later date to be advised by the airline. This will take the form of a question and answer session (of about 1 hour) during which a Royal Brunei selection panel will be assessing you for the following (among other criteria) -
